Distinguish external dimensions from the cut-out
Measure the cabinet’s internal width, worktop thickness and existing cut-out if you are replacing the sink. The new model’s external dimensions do not guarantee that it will cover the cut-out or that its bowls will fit inside the cabinet.
For a new worktop, have the model’s technical drawing approved by the person making the cut-out. The installation method and worktop material must be considered together.
Choose the bowls and tap together
Compare the usable bowl dimensions with your needs: large dishes, washing and draining. Identify the drainer orientation and the tap holes actually available on the selected variant.
For a tap with a pull-out spray, check the hose’s freedom of movement below the worktop. Above it, check the spout’s range of movement and possible obstacles, especially a window. A photo showing the cabinet and window helps with this check.
Prepare a request that includes the waste fittings
Note the sink reference, finish, mixer tap and desired accessories. Confirm whether the waste fittings, trap and fixings are included. If you are retaining part of the existing installation, provide its dimensions and references.
Before delivery, have the components and quantities confirmed. Keep the technical drawings with the order to pass on to the installer and check the model received before making any cut-out.
Continue planning
Keep your measurements and reference list with the technical drawings. Send them with your delivery town to prepare a precise enquiry.
