Define your design direction before choosing products
Describe the atmosphere you want: understated lines, sculptural forms or classical inspiration. Gather a few views of the project and the materials planned for the basin countertop, floor and walls. AXOR offers tap, shower and accessory collections developed with designers; each collection should be considered in its setting.
In a villa, rooms can share the same design signature while serving different purposes. In a hotel project, distinguish standard room types from suites to keep control of variants, quantities and follow-up requirements.
Move from design drawings to installation dimensions
Show the axes of the basin, spout, controls and shower outlets on the plans. For a wall-mounted mixer, check the spout's projection over the basin. For a bath, check the rim, clearances and the actual position of the filling point.
Installation recesses must match the instructions for the exact product reference. Confirm the finished surface thickness, available depth, access to connections and concealed installation bodies with the people involved before closing the walls. A late change may mean redoing the project's finishes.
Coordinate finishes with materials
Compare the tap finish with the tiles, stone, furniture handles and accessories under the intended lighting. Glossy and brushed surfaces look different as the light changes; an on-screen image can guide your choice, but cannot be the sole basis for approving a shade.
AXOR FinishPlus possibilities and special options depend on the product. Check the reference of each item in your chosen finish and have the ordering arrangements confirmed. Do not assume that a colour offered on one mixer is available for every related fitting.
Prepare clear specification documents
Assign an identifier to each room: main bathroom, guest shower room, standard room type or suite. For each identifier, list the function, collection, full product reference, finish, quantity and required extras. Add the technical instructions for the model and the revision number of the plan used.
Distinguish what is included from what must be ordered separately. Have the people responsible for the layout and installation review the documents. For repeated room types, approving a standard composition before multiplying the quantities reduces ambiguity.
Organise purchases around the stages of the building work
Separate the items needed to prepare the pipework from the finishing components installed later. Ask for availability and lead times to be confirmed for each product reference before finalising the schedule. A coordinated set must be ready for installation at the planned time, even when an accessory is delivered separately.
For delivery in the South, specify the batches, destination, site contact and storage conditions. Identify packages by room or room type and keep the protective packaging until installation. On receipt, check product references, finishes and quantities against the approved documents.
Prepare for a useful discussion with EDIFIS
Send your documents, even if provisional, with the points still to be decided: layout, collection, finish or budget. State the destination and the progress of the work. EDIFIS can review the selection and clarify product references, additional items and delivery terms before approval.
For a project in Djerba or Sfax, discussions can begin remotely. If you want to see products at the EDIFIS spaces in Grand Tunis, ask beforehand which models and samples can be shown. After installation, keep the product references to make it easier to identify a fitting or part.
